We are delighted to announce that we one of the supporters of this year’s prestigious Rhind Lecture Series at the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland. The series sees one academic present six different lectures around a given topic over the course of the weekend, allowing them (and their audience) to explore that topic in great detail. The series began in 1874, and to date 133 lecturers have taken up the challenge. This year’s speaker is eminent Irish archaeologist and Emeritus Professor John Waddell. His topic is ‘Archaeology and Celtic Myth- An Exploration’; the series will take place on Friday 25th, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th of April at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, 22-26 George Street, Edinburgh. More details are available on the Society of Antiquaries site here. The lectures are free and open to all, so hopefully see you there!
