New Director Appointed to Rubicon Board

Rubicon Heritage is delighted to announce that Bernie Carney has agreed to join the Board of Directors. Bernie has been a pivotal member of the management team for over ten years where she serves as Business Support Manager, a role which involves significant involvement with the board.

Bernie started work at Rubicon Heritage Services Ltd in January 2007 with a background in Business Administration across multiple sectors. Initially her role focused on HR in the midst of a period of rapid growth within the business.  Within six months of Bernie beginning work at Rubicon, staff numbers grew from 110 to 420.  Her role developed to become Business Support Manager to include responsibility for legal liaison, finance liaison, banking, insurance, sales and marketing and ultimately involvement at Board level, including involvement with decision making and the development of policies and procedures.  The learning curve involved in going from ‘boom to bust to recovery’ since joining Rubicon was a steep one but it enabled a bird’s eye view over the whole business and an ever-growing responsibility to its staff.  Bernie continues to liaise with IBEC on HR related issues in order to stay in touch with Employment legislation and continues to remain current with attendance at IBEC and CIPD HR seminars.

Having spent ten years working with the Board of Management, Bernie has gained a multi-faceted insight into the workings of the Board, the business itself and the commercial archaeology sector.  This all-round knowledge has provided the perfect introduction to becoming a Director of Rubicon Heritage Services. The Board are looking forward to having the benefit of Bernie’s experience and enthusiasm in what is hoped to be a very exciting chapter in the company’s future.
